Our basic pet obedience training packages consists of four 1-on-1 private training classes with a professional behaviourist that will last approximately 8 hours in total.

In the basic dog obedience classes, the essential foundation exercises are taught that all dogs require to be under control whether in the home or in outside spaces. The sessions are normally one week apart.

By the end of the programme, you will have learnt the essentials to be a top handler and your dog will start to respond to your command even with distractions around. 1-1 Dog Obedience Classes Covering the Essential Commands

Many dog owners in Wigan struggle to teach their four-legged-friends basic commands. Whilst some dogs benefit from group classes, many owners find their pets gain the most from private training.

The basic dog training commands taught my private classes are:

• Release – simple but effective, your dog needs to know when an exercise is over
• Recall – your dog will come to you with this command
• Sit – your dog will sit and hold position until released
• Down – your dog will lie down and hold this position until released
• Look (at me) – your dog will look and pay attention to you when the command is given
• Loose lead walking – your dog will walk next to you without pulling on the lead
• Place – your dog will stay in a given area without leaving it until they are released
• Leave – your dog will learn to let go of objects on command
• Emergency Stop – your dog will learn how to stop running on command

I can hold private, basic dog obedience training in Wigan at my specialist facility but I can also travel throughout the North West to teach sessions in and around your home.  Further to this package, I also offer premium dog obedience training classes for those looking for further behaviour training in addition to what is taught here. Dogs exhibiting more serious behavioural problems can benefit from my Aggressive Dog Training package. Alongside these packages, we also offer dog scentwork training and reactivity training.
