Available throughout Wigan & Greater Manchester, our Premium Dog Obedience package consists of eight 1-on-1 private sessions with an experienced behaviourist, lasting no less than 16 hours.

The Dog Wizard is a leading dog behaviourist and provider of obedience training, serving Wigan, Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. Our popular Premium Dog Obedience package comprises an initial 2 hour session, with seven more 1.5 hours sessions to follow. Sessions are normally one week apart.

This is the package for dog owners who like to make a big impression! In the sessions your dog, will build up an array of control skills, with of a choice of 2 advanced techniques that will be sure to turn heads in the park!

The commands taught in the package are:

• Release – simple but effective, your dog needs to know when an exercise is over
• Recall – your dog will come to you with this command
• Sit – your dog will sit and hold position until released
• Down – your dog will lie down and hold this position until released
• Look (at me) – your dog will look and pay attention to you when the command is given
• Loose lead walking – your dog will walk next to you without pulling on the lead
• Place – your dog will stay in a given area without leaving it until they are released
• Stand – your dog will be able to stand up from a down or sit and hold position until released
• Leave – your dog will be able to drop an object or not pick up an object on command
• Walk – your dog will be able to walk next to you whilst off-leash with distractions

In addition to the above is a choice of 2 from the following commands:

1. Finish– when you recall your dog they will run around you and finish at your heel
2. In-between– when you recall your dog they will run through your legs and sit by your heel
3. Around– your dog will learn to run around any object in the distance that you point at, including yourself
4. Through – your dog will learn to move from the finish position at your heel to the sit position in-between your legs in one quick movement
5. Emergency Stop – you will teach your dog to instantly stop when you give the command no matter where they are

For your continued training – after each session you will receive a link where you are able to access videos that demonstrate the exercises that you have been taught. In addition to our obedience training, some dogs will also benefit from a Reactivity package which can help curb over-reactive behaviours towards dogs and people.
